This virtual City Council work session of the City of Greensboro was called to order at 2:00 p.m. on the above date.

Mayor Pro-Tem Johnson took a roll call to confirm Councilmembers in attendance; spoke to Mayor Vaughan's absence; and stated Councilmember Hoffmann would participate via zoom.

A short video was provided for City Council. 

City Manager Taiwo Jaiyeoba made a PowerPoint Presentation (PPP); spoke to strategic framework and purpose; to guidelines; and to council priorities.

Councilmember Matheny entered the meeting at 2:07 p.m.

Director of Human Rights, Dr. Love Jones continued the PPP; highlighted leader influence; spoke to community and staff feedback; to long term plans; to community report cards and values; to peer city connections; to the vision, values, and mission; and to priorities, processes, and policies. 

Chief of Staff, April Albritton continued the PPP; spoke to the community; and priority alignment. 

Intergovernmental Relations Manager, LaToya Caesar-Crawford continued the PPP; spoke to legislative strategies and priorities; and to the legislative agenda. 

Budget and Evaluation Director Jon Decker continued the PPP; outlined fiscal investments; spoke to capital and operating investments; to framework; and to council and community input. 

Dr. Jones spoke to community needs; to expectations; to policy audits; and to council review.

Discussion took place regarding the budget cycle; council priorities and values; staff developed policies; cultural thinking; housing density; readable graphics; and equity tools. 

Councilmember Abuzuaiter requested staff to attach informational documents to the water bills.

City Clerk, Angela Lord made a PPP; spoke to the Legislative Department structure change; to a new position; to Council's support person; to job duties; and presented an organizational work chart. 

Mayor Pro-Tem Johnson left the meeting at 3:16 p.m. and returned at 3:20 p.m.

Discussion took place regarding the Legislative Agenda; Mayor and Council needs; and management of City employees.

Moved by Councilmember Holston, seconded by Councilmember Thurm, to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried by affirmation.

The City Council Adjourned at 3:28 p.m.
